The paper should have the following: description, history, variations, and how globalization has affected the cultural aspect about which you are writing. Regarding variations: what is implied by this is that whatever you are writing about is not done the same way by everyone. Depending on when and where people are located, variations are likely. (This helps, I hope, one appreciate the diversity found in Southeast Asian countries.) Regarding globalization: you may wish to examine either how tourism (foreigners coming to a country and seeing/tasting/etc. something has affected it) or how what you are writing about has gone international. Variations will come into play at this point as well. Your paper does not require a strong thesis statement, as your work will be primarily descriptive and is not intended to argue a particular point or point of view. A conclusion is also not necessary but might help you bring the paper to a close. Format: one inch margins all around, double-spaced, font size-12, 1,000 to 1,200 words. Sources: you are to have at least four or five sources. These are to be listed on a separate page at the end of your paper. I am not choosy about the format of listing them. That will change on the research paper. Your sources may include interviews, menus, videos, etc.
