Choose one quote from Pao by Kerry Young and write a paper (3 pages, typed, double-spaced, 12 point font) on what that quote means to you in the context of the class. I have only included the first few lines of each quote with the understanding that I mean for you to read the previous paragraphs, follow the quote at least to the end of its paragraph, and to the beginning of the one after that, if it is relevant. Do not limit your discussion to only the quote itself, but use it as a starting point to highlight themes of the book that resonate. **Class context/discussions: Colonialism, trended struggles of blacks in Caribbean countries and the U.S, masculinity in caribbean cultures and it’s intersection with sexuality, race relations between blacks of that caribbean country and others such as Chinese as in the case of Pao in Pao by Kerry Young.
